I was not fond of this soil for succulents and neither were my succulents. The water puddles on the soil and takes forever to soak in then the succulents just sit in soppy wet soil. There is barely any perlite in it. It is also hardens around the roots and dries in clumps either starving the roots of water or keeping the roots in soggy clumps of soil. I ended up ordering the Gritty Soil mix from Bonsai Jack which I love. I didn't want the soil to go to waste so now I make my own mix with 50% perlite, 40% gritty mix soil, and 10% of this cactus soil - succulents are flourishing in this new mixture. Also there was a lot of problems with the shipping of the soil which was also very frustrating.
