This chair is brand new and I have used it approximately four times. Like most people I have back problems and have a failed fusion but I have great trust in Amazon branded products because they have always been very good. I was just sitting in this chair on my deck trying to get some sun, had been out about an hour when there was a loud snap and the chair threw me backwards with such force I did something like a backwards somersault and landed against my sliding glass door in a very confused heap. My back now hurts quite a bit. I stupidly assumed that if one of these chairs failed it would just fall backwards intact. Wow that was stupid. These things are a sling shot. I will be returning this to Amazon.
