I purchased a bag directly from the company which clearly advertised 24 oz which is 3 cups. I bought it after watching advertisements on how bad regular dog food is n how r dogs deserve better which I definitely agree. BUT I have 3 German Shorthairs Bo,Brandi, n Shadow (father,mother n son trio shadow is 10) who each weigh over 50 lbs which means they each need more than 1 bag EACH!! That means I’d b paying >$100.00 A DAY to feed r furry children which is more than what their HUMANS in the house-PARENTS, BROTHER, GRANDMA n 2 RABBITS Biscuit n HEIDI eat n 1 day!! Even using it as a topper to their regular food, the bag won’t last even a week. Bo n Brandi r 16 years old n R time with them I know is limited. Some of the proceeds benefit Katherine Heigl foundation that transports dogs out of high kill shelters ( probably doesn’t benefit any animals n my area) So I’m not sorry I bought 1 bag. Unfortunately unless u r rich like her, u can’t afford it. If she really wants to help n still donate proceeds, market it in larger quantities at cheaper rate to put on store shelves where people in most financial situations can buy it. She can also use her resources to help lobby n change laws that regulate production of dog foods. I received the bag today n in all honesty when I purchased this bag it was on a day I thought we were going to lose Brandi. She perked back up n is eating n drinking well but the reality is it won’t be long till we lose her. They have had happy 16 years of life on Purina dog chow. My beautiful poms n chihuahua I had before lived 13-15 1/2 years n cats 15-18 years all on Purina n/or pedigree dog n cat foods. Basically if u can afford the dog food, great but if u can’t love You THEN LUV ur pets, b responsible pet owners, n feed them with dog food u can afford. This will b the first n last bag I buy bcuz I can’t afford it.
