I wanted to love this device so much. I bought this device to pair with my iphone xs max with my car’s aux for music and be able to charge with a cable. Lets start with the pros: Strong bluetooth 5 connection to my phone; when music or anything else with volume was playing, it was crisp and sounded almost as good as my aux. Sadly, this is where the good ends. The cons: When the bluetooth is connected and there is no sound being played, a very noticable hissing appears in the background, to the point you either need to turn down the volume to not hear a buzzing or play something with volume. When something with volume plays, the hissing completey goes away and it goes back to crisp background silence. Once the volume stops, in a fee seconds the bluetooth seems to go somewhat idle and the loud hissing starts. Next, the microphone is terrible. Everyone I speak with while on the phone can barely hear me, and that is while speaking directly into the mic and having the device close by. That makes calls (mobile or facetime) and using siri for sending texts or other functions while driving completely useless. I wish there was a way to turn off the mic in this device so it defaults to the iphone mic, then problem would be solved. Sadly, this device will probably go to my PC where i will have to test for other issues, but the search for a car solution continues.
