Complete Junk
Seems to have all the problems of the TB15, as well as just being a poorly designed dock. Essentially all this dock is is a Thunderbolt to USB hub with a Realtek USB ethernet and USB sound card hanging off of an ASMedia USB hub. The simple fact that Dell took a protocol as powerful as thunderbolt, and chose to bottleneck everything to USB 3 speeds is bad. The fact that they decided to do it through a poor USB chipset that can't even hit USB 3 speeds is even worse. This means that if you have a large network transfer going on while anything is plugged into a USB port, you're going to see reduced throughput. This also means the dock internally is using a few USB hubs to attach all of the stuff inside the dock while still providing ports on the front and back of the dock. This means that if you for some reason DO need to plug a USB hub/active extension into it, you're likely going to see even worse USB performance as USB 3 is only supposed to have 4 (or maybe 5?) hubs in a link. I was honestly glad when it flat out died a month after I got it. Replaced it with a Startech Thunderbolt 3 dock, and I've been much happier. No random USB/Ethernet/Sound disconnects, Ethernet controller is actually on a PCIe lane from the thunderbolt chip, and I can actually use any USB device with it as it doesn't use a poorly designed USB controller.
