Got it as part of the Kickstarter campaign, it was already pretty expensive then but now it's more
My girlfriend got this as part of the Kickstarter campaign and it was already pretty expensive back then, around $300 I believe. I definitely would not pay that much again based off of its issues nor would I pay the currently listed price on Amazon again. Better idea to get a suitcase from a more well-known brand for sure. PROS: - Packing is generally pretty easy, it is roomy and fits a good amount. It also uses space very well since the wheels don't take much room away from the luggage space. - Telescoping handle is definitely a pro. I am 6'2" and it adjusts to my height, my girlfriend is 5'6 ish and we can both use it easily. - Large wheels make it easy to roll, especially up stairs and on bumpy surfaces (cobblestones) just as advertised. CONS: - The locks suck, that would be the TLDR version. Basically we used it for the first time a couple of weeks ago for a Europe trip, I set the lock and when my girlfriend came to packing the night before our trip, the lock got stuck and would not release. She tried resetting it and it didn't release so she had to go to the local airport and get TSA to help her open it, basically it was defective. When she contacted G-RO support that was the only thing they were capable of advising her as well so she ended up having to rush to the airport the morning of the flight to ask someone from TSA to help her. However TSA has no protocol for this assistance so you basically have to wait until some officer is free and available to help you. She talked to at least 3 people before they were able to help her, not to mention the fact that she spent 1.5hrs total waiting for help, and the $10 in airport parking. After that 1.5hrs we were able to get a TSA person to grab their universal keys and open the lock. WE ARE NOW AFRAID TO USE THIS LOCK. We still took it on our trip but used our own key locks so as not to have to deal with this situation again. - Putting things in the front pocket can prevent the luggage from fitting in the measurement box at Delta and British Airways. We had to repack our stuff last minute at the check-in counter because it no longer fit. - The expansion zipper will also prevent the luggage from fitting into the box at Delta and British Airways. See bullet point above. - It is on the larger side so it might not fit in a lot of international flights as a carry-on. - We have found that having 4 360 degree rolling wheels might be easier to handle than these larger wheels since they do only travel in 1 direction, but that can be a pro or con depending upon your usage. - Suiter we got as a garment bag was pretty cheap and not great quality, I agree with other reviews that described it as a glorified dry cleaning bag. - Also as previous reviews have stated, bag falls over really easily, especially when you place a bag on top of it (even with the bag straps wrapped around the telescopic handle). It actually fell on a guy behind us in line for customs at the Heathrow airport because my girlfriend let go of the handle for 1 second. Granted it was an experimental project through Kickstarter, we would definitely not pay this much for a luggage from an unknown company again, it's just more trouble than it's worth. There is literally ZERO SUPPORT available for you should something go wrong. In most cases, this would happen with the lock (since there's not much else that could go wrong with a suitcase that has never been used) so WE GOT A SUITCASE WITH A DEFECTIVE LOCK FOR $300.
