Unfortunately, I'll have to send it back. The base is too big for any of my cars' cupholders. The diameter of the base is almost 3" (2-15/16th's, to be exact). This is a half-inch larger than my Starbucks mug. It's a TRAVEL mug, so I would have expected it to fit most cars' cupholders. Be sure to measure your car's cupholder before you buy. Also, the base is squared off, so don't expect it to gently push the cupholder's adjustable grippers aside very easily. I haven't tried the cup's other features, since I'll be sending it back. But it appears to be well-made and well-designed, except for the diameter of the base.
