I received this as a gift for Christmas and was initially thrilled with how lovely it was and how well it worked. Hwowver, within 5 uses I started to notice the cracks on the outside. The finish on the outside began to crack first, cracking like cold glass having hot water poured on it. I was so in love with this kettle for its functionality and unique and lovely appearance, but I haven't even had it a month and it looks terrible. Apparently the finish they coat the ceramic with is just not up to the task of drastic temperature changes. How disappointing.
