Similar to the original Tribord version but different (See uploaded images)
I was introduced to this type of full face snorkeling mask from a friend who purchased a Non-Tribord mask (Seaview). We ended up buying the original Tribord after research. Therefore I have both of them on hand to compare the differences.
First thing first, Both masks are made in China but Tribord from France is the first to invent this particular style of mask. Tribord discloses its plastic types used on the mask on the official website but no info is provided on the Non-Tribord mask. Both mask perform differently in terms of anti-fogging ability. Both masks look very similar but in fact quite different from each other looking up close (see images).
Just so you know, the Non-Tribord brand is not necessary cheaper than the original Tribord brand. Other than the look, both brands also shaped differently so it offers better fit for individuals. The advantage of the non-Tribord is the GoPro mount on some models which the original lacks. They also released a new version recently which I have not try on so I won't be able to comment.
This my 2nd review with revision (the mellow version) after being down-voted by 12 Amazon "identities". This happened within 12 hours after I initially posted my first review. My impression is that someone is trying to manipulate their reviews in order to make their product appear better than it actually is. At the same time, re-seller WildHorn Outfitters responded promptly to express their feeling. So I agree to revise my wording and re-post this review. Either way, WildHorn Outfitters seems to be a responsive sellers which is a positive thing. They also promised to provide customer support.
