Just a warning... there will be spoilers. I bought this book originally because I saw Abby’s hilarious ex-lax Facebook post. I was even more excited when I saw that the main character of the book was infertile, because I myself am infertile. It’s hard to find books with these types of characters/topics. I liked this book- especially Kristen’s struggle of telling Josh about her infertility because I went through the same thing. I liked this book until the very end when the infertile character miraculously got pregnant the first time she did it with her romantic interest. I had to throw this book away. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve heard the following: “My sister’s boyfriend’s cousin couldn’t have kids but once they started to talk about adoption it happened!” Or, “You just need to relax!” I could go on. Anyway, I don’t think everyone always gets their “happy ending” and I also don’t think your life has to be any less fulfilling if it doesn’t happen. This book is like a slap in the face. It’s not that easy and for a book with this storyline I think that was the “happy ending” way out.
