Just finished installation about an hour ago. Aesthetically, everything is great. Functionally though, this is not good. I text really fast, too fast for this screen to respond. It will often miss keys that I press at the beginning of a message. It’s almost as if it has to warm up before it can respond quickly. I also noticed that I have to be more accurate when touching letters on the keyboard, because screen isn’t picking up all of the letters that I type. I have to go over, backspace and retype more often than I used to. The right side of the screen is not as sensitive as the left. When scrolling, I can move the screen faster and farther on the left side with my left thumb. When I use the same swiping power on the right side of the screen with my right thumb, the screen does not scroll as quickly or as far. Also it seems to click on links that I did not actually press on the screen while I’m looking through google search results, opening pages I did not intend to open. Maybe slowly responding to an area I touched while scrolling? I’m not sure why it does this. It also does not handle pressure sensitivity the same way. I have to hold the screen down with much more pressure and for longer to get Live Photo’s to go, or dismiss reminders from the lock screen. For nearly half the price of someone replacing the screen for me, I expected better quality. Two stars instead of one, because the kit was set up nicely. There’s a print out that helps you keep track of all the screws. The main screw driver however (the one used for all but two of the screws), is not magnetic. So rescrewing the tiny little things back in is painstaking, I had to hold my breath while trying to get them in. Installation was tedious. Took about two hours for me, someone who has never done this before. I followed a twenty minute video on YouTube for instructions.
