Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I bought this because of all the fantastic reviews. Usually that works well for me. This time it was a bust for several reasons. One was that the lamp is severely top heavy on the side with the light and shade. I guess this might not be a problem on hardwood floors, but if you are placing this on carpeting, you will need to place something underneath the base to help prop it up under the side with the light and shade. Next is that the piece that holds the shade on, while a nice idea, broke while installing. It is a fantastic idea, but it is made of very cheap plastic that breaks very easily. And last of all, the warning about intensity of lighting and such shows up very nicely at eye level and is not covered up by the shade. I guess you could remove that, but it is probably not a good idea. I returned it and am going with something else.
