I purchased this mat about 1 full year ago to date. At first I loved it! It's so cute, vibrant colors, easy to rinse off with a water hose, durable, it was great! I also thought it was great because I was buying something recycled! I thought it was going to last me several years. A year later, I am sweeping my porch area so I pick up the rug to get underneath and the entire thing is disintegrating into microplastic flakes. At first I thought it was dust, but when we looked closer you could tell the plastic mat was literally just flaking away. I am very sad about this because I strive to be environmentally friendly and I know microplastics are a leading cause of contamination and death in sea life and small animals. Not to mention how much I loved this rug/mat. I am so sad about this. PLEASE CONSIDER THE ENVIRONMENT BEFORE BUYING!
