5 star start but.....much like the product, after a few weeks of use, the rating doesn't hold up. Having three sons at home, I've learned to wait a few weeks to write reviews for the products I buy for them. A lot of things are a quick hit right out of the box but fewer manage to keep the kids' interest and maintain quality. I bought this for my twins 3rd birthday at the end of March. when the wrapping paper came off, they loved it....we put all of their dinosaurs in the box and played on the mat every day. As with many toys, they lost interest after a little while but they came back to it....that didn't factor into the 2 star review, kids are fickle. What cost this product for me was how the "box" stopped being a box after about 3 weeks of use. Now, roughly 7 weeks after starting to use it, going from "mat to box" just doesn't happen. Zip up the sides just like always and now we have this non-structural amorphous blob that can be sort of shaped by hand enough to resemble a box but it's not rigid enough to even support the lid any longer, let alone store the dinosaurs inside. If this had a $12 pricepoint, I'd still be disappointed but considering it sells for more than twice that price? This was a horrible purchase. I compare this to another toybox that sits in the playroom, right next to this Dinosaur set....I bought it for $27.50 in 2008, over 2 1/2x the size, home assembled wooden box with hinged lid with Lightening McQueen all over it. Six years later, it's as good as the day we brought it home for the twins' older brother. Six years later, I hate to think this is the quality similar money buys you. I got 6 years+ out of that toybox and for a similar price, I didn't get 6 weeks here. They have fun with the mat from time to time, salvaging some positive points in this review. If you want to pay for the look on the face and the initial week of play......this is a 5 star. If you want what you pay for and a product that will last for a reasonable amount of time....avoid this product.
