Super cute, and my baby loved it - she was absolutely fascinated. I didn't find it to be too loud as did some other reviewers - it's certainly not quiet and there's no volume control, but the one I received was not ear-splitting. The batteries ran down quite quickly - no worries, often the batteries that come already loaded in electronic toys are cheap trial batteries. However, it was impossible to remove the battery compartment. I have a tiny screwdriver set, and found the one that fit, but the head of the screw is such cheap quality it stripped immediately upon trying to turn it. So now we have a stuffed animal that isn't very snuggly (due to the hard plastic base/battery pack) that will not sing songs or play peek-a-boo. I'm contemplating surgery to cut through the plastic of the battery pack cover, but I don't feel this will be a safe toy if I do so.
