Contains maybe a single index card's worth of actual -- but bad --advice
This is one of those horribly written books that takes over a hundred pages to convey what could be easily written on a single index card . The author continually tells you that he's going to tell you something, then that you're not going to believe what he's going to tell you, then that other people haven't believed what he's going to tell you, ad nauseam. In the end, it takes forever for him to convey any information . What's worse is that the information is not valid. The basis of this approach is essentially defining the "part" of yourself that gives into binges and urges as a "pig" and treating yourself accordingly. He provides no scientific data that self-loathing is an effective diet technique. Probably because it's not. The book's attempts to route readers to the author's website where he can harvest their email addresses and sell coaching services lower my opinion of this book even more. Which is pretty amazing because my opinion of it was pretty darn low to begin with.
