I am ashamed to say that I did WAY to much research on pooper scoopers when we got our dog...something I never expected my life to come to. Anyway...this is one that had the most good reviews so I bought it. I've only had to use it 3 times, but every time all it does is smear the poo all over the bag and the grass. Basically, if the poo isn't rock hard (it never is until 3 days later), or if it has sunk into grass at all, you will be smearing the crap out of it (pun intended). When closing it, there is virtually no way for it to get underneath the pile, unless your dog ate helium and it is levitating. Instead, it either closes on it and cuts it in half (requiring you to re-open it and drop out any poos you successfully captured, repeating the issue), or just smears it all over the place (causing an even bigger mess and destroying your dignity). It's well made for sure, but completely ineffective. It does stay clean, though, if the bad stays in place for you. Perhaps it is intended for nuggets that have been sitting around for hours or days, instead of fresh gifts left for you by your adoring pup? But that wouldn't make any sense, seeing as though this is meant to be portable, and used while walking your dog or traveling with it. I, unfortunately, do not recommend it. I'm on the lookout for a better item.
