This product does not work as advertised. The crystals are far less absorbent than regular clay kitty liter. The scoop rake tines are too far apart and because the crystals don't dry out the fecal material, the scoop just smears the fecal matter into smaller blobs that are left behind and much of it remains on the scoop tines - and the odor is not removed. I frequently had to hand-clean the box and tines. The "self-ceaning" box does not self-clean and the smell was far worse than using a regular kitty litter system. I am greatly disappointed in this expensive product. I also purchased two sets of three crystal litter boxes to go with the device -- they were expensive and non-refundaable. I have a small 9 month old cat who stopped using the box after two days because it was always dirty. The "Scoop Free Ultra Self Cleaning Litter Box" did not do what it is advertised to do.
