AVOID. Makes an awful noise.
JUNK. Power supply makes a varying high pitch noise. It. Is. Awful. If you have bad hearing, this switch is acceptable. Otherwise, avoid. I contacted the 24x7 support, and it goes to the call center in China. They said return to Amazon and get another. Amazon is awesome and shipped a replacement immediately. This new one also makes the same noise. The power supplies used are just too cheap. I did speed test the switch and it seems to achieve reasonable rates. Maybe you could use it in a closet or basement? I was using this at a kitchen desk (Desktop Switch) and it is too painful to be near. I included two spectrum captures to show how annoying the supply is... The one with green and red has no supply plugged in. Green is real time, Red is peak noise. My kitchen is pretty quiet. I then showed the green only with the high frequency noise. That capture clearly shows the noisy switching regulator harmonics. It would make a dog whine. TP-Link should do better. The capture was taken at a distance of 3 feet and measure at 45dB. Normal conversation is 65dB at 3 feet. A whisper is 30dB. Soooo....you have something between a whisper and normal conversation near lifeguard whistle frequencies. ENJOY!
