Don't trust TCL, you'll buy a damaged TV
This is a general complaint against TCL, never got a chance to try this stupid TV because it came shattered. This is the second TV from TCL I've tried, the first was a refurbished 40". I returned that due to burned in LED's that created a wide half circle of mis-colored screen on the entire right side of the screen. Even as a refurbished item, that shouldn't have left the factory like that. I learned my lesson and returned it and bought a BRAND NEW TV. I actually really loved the Roku integration of the first TCL tv, and for the price it was super hard to beat. I was sad to return it because everything was great except for the brown burn-in on the right of the screen. So I buy a BRAND NEW TCL TV excited to try the Roku integration and 100's of free Apps you can get through it, plus HuluPlus, Amazon, Netflix, etc.
Again, I should have learned my lesson because I JUST GOT THIS DELIVERED TODAY VIA FEDEX and the entire freaking LED glass panel is smashed in. I have images. Here's the thing, the packaging and the box are PERFECT except for the regular scuffs and small bumps from shipping. There's NO SIGN of any packaging damage that would cause what looks like the tv was dropped forcefully. To me, this means it left the factory and was PACKAGED LIKE THIS. I don't see how else the box could be totally untouched and the tv so badly damaged. See the images for proof. I'm extremely unhappy that TCL is 0 for 2 since the price and the features would have been really nice. I just want a smart tv that works and TCL would be perfect if they could just get me a tv that works. I won't be buying another TCL tv unless they do something about this. So freaking ridiculous.
