So I ordered a new Velowave Electric Bike from Velowave. The bike showed up promptly and we assembled it. Upon the first two rotations of peddling the cheap plastic derailleur broker nearly sending my 82 year old dad to the ground. Turns out the derailleur snapped very easily and got stuck in the spokes. It also broke the shift cable. I didn't realize Shimano made plastic garbage, and why would it be put on an expensive electric bike? At any rate, Velowave has tried to be very helpful but in the end wanted us to first take a brand new bike and pay a shop to fix it. Why should I front this cost on a brand new bike to have it fixed? I asked for a replacement or refund, and they offered to ship a new bike. The communication has been poor and INCREDIBLY slow, and at this point I'm very frustrated that I took a chance on a Chinese made bike that cut major costs by putting on plastic garbage components. I do not recommend buying this bike at all unless you want cheap plastic for $1,500+
