Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

So surprised to see that Amazon is still selling this product after numerous reviews of people burning their hair off. Purchased it recently for my daughter who works in the beauty industry and is familiar with the proper way of using these tools and the first time she used it on medium low setting it burned a clump of her hair off. She has a full beautiful head of hair so it's not like she has thin fragile hair. She was devastated. Luckily she has a lot of hair and she knows how to style it so it's not noticeable but that may not be the case for everyone! When I called to report the incident to Amazon the representative looked at various reviews that stated that they experienced the same and that Amazon would be taking this item off. Very surprised to see they are still selling it. I was offered a refund which in my opinion is not enough! When I called Babyliss directly the young lady initially had an attitude (which is just crazy to me when a consumer is calling to report that their products are burning people's hair off) she then took the information and a week later I received a letter from them asking for the tool back and offering me a replacement or refund. You would think these people would have looked to rectify this situation in a different manner. Not so dismissive and nonchalant. I don't remember ever posting a negative review on any items I've purchased on Amazon. I'm not a complainer at all but when something this serious happens I wanted to give a big warming to anyone out there who even considers buying this item. Wouldn't want anyone else to go through this. Extremely disappointed!
