Sizing charts provided by Petmate in its graphic are erroneous and misleading as they indicate measuring from the floor to the withers (shoulders) of pet rather than to the top of the head (as required by airline). As a result, an incorrectly-sized kennel was purchased. Pet is approximately 80 lbs but still did not fit in the kennel sized for 70-90 lb range (40" L X 27" W X 30"H), despite being compactly built (i.e., short for his weight). Pet was refused to board and we missed flight due to shortcomings in Petmate's kennel. Requesting a full refund and free replacement for the next larger size kennel ASAP. (Also, as numerous others have already noted, Petmate's claim that "Sky Kennel is considered the Gold standard for pet travel" is highly suspect considering they do not provide required hardware for airline travel (comes with plastic bolts provided instead of metal). I had already remedied this shortcoming in my preparation to travel but it still may come as a surprise to the consumer who blindly trusts Petmate's advertising.)
