I directly compared the Purple Mattress with the Puffy Lux Mattress in my home. Both are quality-made products. However, the Purple matrix (top layer) of the mattress is very firm, whereas the top layer of the Puffy Lux feels very soft without being "mushy." I have back and hip problems and had back and hip pain every night, almost from the moment I lay down each night, on the Purple Mattress. I couldn't sleep on my side at all. I have minimal to no pain sleeping on my side on the Puffy Lux. The Purple Mattress didn't conform to my body shape. I could feel the accommodation on the Puffy Lux.
