Bread Box Buyers Beware: At the present time, the majority of positive reviews are not for the bread box but a different product! When I expanded this to fit my standard sized loaf of bread the two sides came apart. I assumed there would be some kind of mechanism to keep them together. Also, because of this design defect you can't lift it without it falling apart. Finally, there is space between the narrower of the two portions and the top of the other, making the optional vent pointless. I understand this isn't supposed to be airtight, but wasn't expecting it to be essentially open air, either. Returning to Amazon.
