Three of the five I received detected "water" that wasn't there. So Three of five were defective. One would hope a product designed to perform so important a task might be at least reliable. I read reviews before purchase and I should have taken them more to heart. This is the first review I've written about a product and I do so from an impulse of regard for people wishing to be alerted before a house flood. This product is to be avoided.
