Why is this not like the game in my childhood?
I ordered this game because because both my husband and I remembered it as children. We tried the non-electronic one first and it was tedious. So, we decided to upgrade. This game is so not the game I remember. It is more difficult than my smart phone to deal with and it takes another whole stronger level of diopter reading glasses to be able to see the letters and numbers and letters on the board. An additional insult is that the playing pieces (the battleships) won't stay in place on the board and the board itself will not stay upright if you put any pressure on it. We were reduced to calling out our plays because the game itself would not take the plays that we entered. I am an MD and my husband has a PhD. One would think that we could together figure this out. We had looked forward to playing this with grandchildren, but instead it's in the mail being returned.
