As a new dad, I understand that we-- parents-- are suckers. The hormones that give us such great affection and a need for protection and security for our offspring sometimes compromise the rational functions of our brains. We will buy nearly anything and spend an almost endless amount of money when it comes to our kids. We want the best, we want the safest, and we want to make our kids happy. There is nothing inherently wrong with this pillow. But it's nothing special. It comes with no cover, it comes with no protector, and it's just a standard pillow filled with standard filling. As a middle-aged man who has spent a lot of time in luxury hotels and budget motels around the world and around the country-- trying different beds and pillows-- and as someone who's paid up to $200 per pillow for a real memory foam pillow at home, I can assure you there is absolutely nothing special about this pillow. Given that only special cases will fit, the manufacturers can squeeze another fifteen bucks out of us to simply put one cover on these (and no protector). And that leads me to the one-star review. At the end of the day, you are paying a total of thirty bucks for a very average pillow that's one-third the size of a standard pillow. This pillow is a total rip-off, and the company is exploiting use as parents.
