I ordered this for a shoulder problem but it just doesn’t get hot enough. The instructions say it will reach 140 degrees on level 6. It doesn’t not even close. Tested unit with laser thermometer and on level 6 it would only reach 92 degrees at ambient room temp of 68. Set the pad in a room with electric fire place and heated room temp to 74 and placed blanket over pad to contain heat(not recommended) and heated for half hour. Tested again only reached 109 degrees. As soon as a removed pad from blanket surface temp went back down into the 90’s.See supporting photos below. The first reading was on setting number 1 with a reading of 86 degrees, supposed to be 105 per specs the second is 92 when set at level 6 which should be 140. Heated each setting for 20 minutes ambient room temp of 68. Either control is defective or the pad element just isn’t high enough wattage. I am returning this and will update if I go with and test same brand.
