I absolutely loved these scissors. Such a great idea for kitchen shears to come-apart and get really clean in the dishwasher but after only six weeks of use the handle broke off as I was cutting open a package of meat! It seems there is only a small piece of plastic securing it into the handle. The metal part that came loose was very sharp and cut my thumb! It was no worse than a normal kitchen cut but could have been pretty bad had it cut an artery. Considering the intended use of these shears in the kitchen, the handles need to be very well secured into the handle. Too bad, I was going to buy each of my cooking friends a pair!
