★★☆☆☆
Not good. Other Motomco products much better.
I bought these bait chunks online because they seemed like a great deal. I had used Tomcat bait chunks in the past and had really good luck with them, but buying them retail at grocery/hardware/Home Depot was much more expensive. In addition, due to new EPA regs it is very difficult to find the chunks in bulk at retail, they're almost always sold with bait stations (which I didn't want/need). Well, I found out that these are cheap for a reason. These are NOT the Tomcat bait chunks with Bromethalin (which is what you get when you buy the chunks at retail with a bait station) and, as a result, they are much less effective. These use a different type of poison to kill the mouse, and require multiple feedings and a much more extended time period in order to put the little guys under. As a result, you end up using far more of this type of chunk before the mice are killed than you would if you used either the Tomcat Chunks with Bromethalin, or Motomco's more industrially-oriented Hawk bait chunks. I blew through a 4 pound bucket in a week, and the mice were still hungry! Don't get me wrong, they love the taste of these things, but it takes a pretty significant volume of them to get them to death's doorstep. The Bromethalin (or Hawk brand) chunks are about double the cost, but well worth it in the end because you'll end up spending significantly less $ per dead mouse (and, in addition, will spend far less time reloading/respreading the bait around).
