I have not seen this mentioned in the other reviews but for me the slices do not come out a consistent thickness. The deck that adjusts the thickness is angled in relation to the blade so as the slice is being cut it gets thinner because the fruit/vegetable starts to follow the flat blade surface, pulling it away from the angled deck that controls the thickness. See picture.
