I bought 6" globe to do panoramic maps for 3D modeling. For this reason the globe has to be close to spherical. Description states that "there are no stems to distract from the spherical shape", and advertised picture shows no signs of distortion. Unfortunately, even though the globe doesn't have visible stems, it is far from spherical; I can't produce kind of image that seller displays. Globe has latitudinal bands that greatly distort the reflection (see video). Now... I realize that the sphere isn't sold for my purposes. You should realize that my intention (for any product that I buy) is beside the point. Honestly, I don't see particular reason, except to make funny faces (this is advertisement part), to use this globe; 6" is the size that you can appreciate, even as a decoration, from the distance at which distortions are quite visible. I tried to send it back but seller refusing to pay for shipping (1/3 of the price). Then I asked for discount, but seller is not interested to negotiate. Now I have something that I will not use, and looking for better quality sphere. Any idea where to get one? Update: behind the strategically placed label, that I thought to preserve in case I send the ball back, were two big blemishes.
