Updated a few years later - still the worst vacuum ever for anything more than light dust covering. This takes up space in the closet but the inexpensive shark-type vacuums are so much better, and are the ones we use every other day. Original - I REALLY wanted to love this vac since I paid a grand for it, but the value is just not there, and the maintenance/design problems are too big to overlook. Pros: works out of the box and comes with one bag and filter; nice suction strength when it works; easy to maneuver in tight spots; turns off if it overheats; electro brush picks up well and grooms carpets nicely. Cons: clogs every time it's used due to 90degree angle at the handle, and suction tube goes down to a diameter smaller than a dime right at this 90 degree bend - this causes it to clog with every use; VERY small bag size, typical for canisters I suppose; bags and hepa filters are EXPENSIVE and hard to find. Agree with another reviewer that without the electro brush, it's useless, so don't even try a C3 without that add on. With the constant clogging, it's just a pain although it is great at eliminating dust blowback. If your house has nothing but light ambient dust and a cobweb here and there, you might be OK. But this vac is a FAIL on dog hair, dust bunnies, and the occasional crushed cheerio.
