I ordered the 4 terabyte portable elements drive directly from Amazon but despite what the box said, or the serial number on the back of the drive enclosure, it actually had a 2 terabyte hard drive inside. It registers as having only 1.63 TB capacity when plugged into my pc. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this in time to return it. Make sure you check it right away.
