This clock is not worth the $20 you'll spend. First of all, the radio is harder to figure out than a a bank vault combination! Getting music to play should NEVER be this difficult. And forget about going to sleep to music. The lowest volume setting is very loud! Secondly, the color temperature of the light is oddly artificial and unnerving. Even in soft-glow mode it is unrelaxing and tension-inducing. But if the soft-glow setting somehow doesn't give you anxiety, don't get used to it, because the soft-glow setting is only available when in the basic yellow color. All of the other colors only have one intensity setting, and that setting is harsh, bright, intrusive, and headache-inducing. Thirdly, the alarm feature is as limited to use as the light feature, and as hard to use as the music feature. Oh and if you like music, don't think you'll get to actually wake up to music with this alarm clock. This alarm clock doesn't do that. And the worse part, you probably want to buy this clock because, like me, you want to a gradual sunrise simulation, but guess what, that'll also be a "nope" too! This clock doesn't simulate a slow gradual sunrise. Rather, it simulates that moment when you take off your sunglasses abruptly at high noon and the light just appears, rapidly, and violently in your face. The "sunrise" is less than 10 seconds!! If all of this sounds horrible to you, that's because it is. If you want a sunrise alarm clock that is easy to use and peacefully and gradually wakes you up and also gives you radio functionality, sleep timer functionality, then spend the extra money and buy the Philips brand. You can set the duration of the (sunrise AND the sunset of the sleep timer) to various settings with the Philips brand. The Philips brand will simulate the gentle awakening you're looking for, so it's really worth the money you'll spend. This clock isn't worth the little bit of money you'll spend to get it. Save yourself the trouble of throwing it out, and just don't buy it in the first place.
