Beware: the cover doesn't fit tightly on the new model 7-cup Pyrex bowl because the new bowl is a hair smaller than the older model. The covers appear to be the same size (although different color) as the new cover fits the old bowl nicely, but it is not as tight on the new bowl that is selling now. I wouldn't turn the covered bowl upside down with any appreciable liquid or weight in it. The measurements for the new bowl are: 0.198" thickness x 3 1/4" high x 7 3/16" diameter. The older model 7-cup bowl measurements are: 0.225" thickness x 3 3/8" high x 7 1/4" diameter. The thickness measurement was done with a vernier caliber, the height and diameter was done with a ruler. The weight of the old model bowl is 31.2oz (884g) and the new model bowl weighs in at 25.55oz (724g). Glass edge color is different too, indicating that the composition of the glass is different. This is not an improved model! New bowl is on right side in the two pictures.
