Fake Drive
It is a fake drive. It is a reprogrammed USB 1.1 that failed a factory QC test and then was flashed to report a larger size. Anything past 40% is not actually written to the flash and is instead discarded even though the copy looks like it's working. It's vendor ID has been overwritten with 12345678 and the programming of the size in the chip is even messed up with one return showing exactly 10000MB (not GB) and another register conflicting with a 5000MB programming. It will write around 240GB at USB 1.1 speed but everything after that is not actually written to the flash and the first part starts to fail when tested. Complete scam and they know it but are still selling on Amazon knowing that most people are not going to test it or have the knowledge of how to test it much less verify through fdisk and lsusb.
