People who are saying "This is not supposed to be the Coldest Winter Ever" - it is literally the follow-up to TCWE lol!!! Of course we were expecting an extension of it! And to those insulting us by saying "It's not filled with ghetto talk and sex" those are not the elements that drew us to the first book- It was the writing and compelling story lines. Many of us read her other books and loved some of those. Souljah has simply lost us with this- it's ok to not like a book. Now that I've addressed that, on to my review.... I read the first two pages, saw where the book was going and that was enough for me to not read anymore. But I gave it a chance for a few more pages, flipped ahead and read a couple of pages, flipped ahead and read a couple more, skipped to the end, and immediately requested a return. I came to the reviews to see if it was just me but NOPE, it's all of us lol. We just have to grieve that Winter will never get the redemption we hoped for. Souljah wrote the book that SHE wanted to write, not what her readers wanted to read. Maybe I'll write the book I wish she would've written. It'll be a bestseller for sure. Souljah really dropped the ball.
