Out of the box, all the bells and whistles are very impressive. After a month of working properly my muffin went down, never to return. After 20 seconds of quiet clicking all the lights started flashing. Very pretty, but where the hell is my English muffin. If you buy this product, keep the box and packaging so you will have something to return it in. UPDATE: 5-01-2012 I called Breville, they were very courteous and sent me a postage paid pickup slip for FedX. Today, via FedX, I received a brand new toaster. If I make no more postings for this review you may conclude that all is well in toasted muffin land. Thanks for your time....Paul UPDATE: 8-01-2012 What is with this toaster and the first day of the month? Today again the replacement toaster ate my muffin and lights flashed. I unplugged and plugged twice, still flashing lights. The third time I banged it down on the counter top,MAGIC it's working again. If you like the slot machines in Vegas this is your toaster. If not buy a cheaper model...Trust me, I know. No more updates. I give up. Thanks for your time....Paul
