You might be buying expired stuff here, so be wary of buying Kerastase from Amazon...
I love Amazon and have gotten all my previous bottles of Ultime here. But the last bottle of Elixir Ultime I was recently given as a gift (bought from Amazon) wasn't quite right. Either it had been in the warehouse way past its' expiration date or the seller ( this is just a hunch, I have NO proof of any of this) diluted the mixture with something else. It felt too thick and the scent was off. Usually it smells terrific but this bottle smelled too chemical-ly and like it had gone... bad. For the heck of it, I checked on the Kerastase site to see how much more it would be to buy from them directly and it wasn't too terrible, about $10-15 more than Amazon.com prices with shipping. Not great, but since I only buy one of these bottles a year, I am willing to pay the extra $15 bucks for the real deal instead of risking $45 on something that may have gone rancid and I'll have to throw away, just to save that $15.
