Device is advertised to support USB 3.0 with read speed of 80 MB/s and write speed of 40 MB/s. These numbers are completely false and tests demonstrated that they are off by factors of more than 5 and 3, respectively. Best measured read speed was 14 MB/s while write speed was no better than 13 MB/s. By comparison, the same test run with a 15 month old 256 GB USB Sandisk Cruzer 3.0 drive obtained speed ranges of 33 MB/s to 36 MB/s for write and 125 MB/s to 128 MB/s for read. When attempting to copy approximately 450 GB of 1 GB-8 GB files, copy operations periodically failed when device went offline. Gave up retrying after approximately 20 hours when only 200 GB had been copied.
