Titanium Dioxide.
Why did Clorox (owner of Burt's Bees) put Titanium dioxide in their toothpaste. It is not needed as a colorant. Titanium dioxide can disturb nutrient absorption in the gut, and can cross the gut barrier and upset the immune system. It is well known that small amounts of toothpaste are swallowed upon every brushing even if the user is careful to spit regularly. I just don't trust companies that put these toxic ingredients in their products when they know better. Even if they take them out due to mass complaints, I never regain that trust. I support companies who do right from the start on their own; not after they are pressured in a public forum.
