I believe the device will do what it says it's supposed to do (air frys beautifully) but the cons were enough for me to return. First off, this appliance smells right out of the box. Very strong. My previous air fryer smelled upon opening but not nearly as strong as this. I suggest cooking many times without any food within. Next, the adhesive tape used during shipping for the oven door, horrendous. It took a good amount time with alcohol and a microfiber cloth to remove all of it. The appliance IS very pretty though. Looks great in my kitchen. Unfortunately, I was not aware while purchasing the difficulties with how the door opens and the handle hitting the counters. OR you can pull the device towards you and when opening, the door face hits the counters instead. Either way, dings and scratches are inevitable. As far as cooking, it takes entirely too long to preheat. Which is required before cooking anything in it. It does perform the heating very quiet unlike my other air fryer. Before using the appliance I did put it on the broil setting just to get it heated and cook off all of the chemical smell. I decided after a few cycles of 10 minutes that I would test french fries. You must start with preheating after choosing different functions. You cannot skip this step even if you already preheated prior. Fries came out great and being able to see them cooking from the glass door is a plus. I believe this appliance is great for it's purpose but it has a few flaws. I think when trying to find the right one, French doors and an easier way to navigate/customize the presets might be the way to go.
