There are many reasons I regret purchasing this lamp: First of all, it come with a mysterious set of 2 screws and no instructions on where they go or how to install them (the lamp base has 3 small holes, where the screws don’t even fit). 2nd, the lamp itself is made of cheap material, it weighs nothing and looks like it could break easily. 3rd, the stand arrived with an obvious bend in it, which defeats its entire aesthetic purpose! 4th, the lighting quality that the lamp gives off is a big fail. It hurts your eyes if you look at it directly so it must be turned towards a wall and it just feels like a skinny version of a neon light. No moody, warm ambiance here! Lastly and most importantly, the power cord, plug and light switch are the ugliest things I’ve ever seen and completely overshadow the sleek look of the lamp. So basically you have this very minimal, slim, modern stand.. and at its base, a heavy and unsightly thick black cord, switch and an oversized plug?! You can’t even try to appreciate the lamp because of how distracting the power cord is. Visually, it makes no sense. The product images are styled to make you think you’re investing in a top of the line, designer lamp, but what you get in the mail is a big disappointment in comparison. Overall, the lamp is a nice design idea executed badly. Absolutely and without hesitation, not worth $100.
