This device suffers from the lack of basic features than can be found on just about any electronic ever made in the history of mankind. There is absolutely no I/O on this device for which to determine if the device is working in any capacity. There’s no indicator light tell if the battery is charging, there is no buttons to even reset the device and by default it is set to wake up once every 24 hours, transmit info, receive any updates and go back to sleep. So out of the box you plug it into a power source and pray to the gps tracking gods for the next 24 hours that the cable your were given is good, the battery isn’t faulty and that the unit is able to connect to transmit and receive info when it wakes up. Otherwise you really have no recourse. All you can do is sit and wait. I’m at the 34 hour mark with no response from the tracker so at best it was not able to connect during the wake period and I have to wait another 24 hours, at worse it’s a DOA (again no way to tell) so I’ll give it one more day and if it comes up I’ll give it another star, otherwise I’m knocking my rating down a star and returning the unit back. Update: Never came up after 67 hours, no way to troubleshoot at all, no status indicator lights, no switches, nothing. Returning the unit.
