Attached the unit to the Optima Red top battery in my Jeep. The display showed 50% charged and started charging up to 62%. It just stayed at 62% for over an hour. I turned it off disconnected it and then reconnected it and it showed 100% charge. I then turn the unit off disconnected and reconnected and it showed 62 once again and then charged up to 68% and then stopped at that percentage. My fluke meter showed that the battery was charged to14 volts and was more than fully charged even though the display showed it was not. I believe if I left it overnight it would have ruined the battery. The battery charge on the display was 12.5 but my meter showed almost 14. I'm very disappointed in the lack of quality Schumacher has now. Based on other reviews, I am not alone. When I requested to return the battery Amazon said I need to deal with the manufacturer so I called twice and left messages twice and have yet to hear from them. Shows a lack of quality control and lousy customer service. Buyer beware.
