I wanted to love this. It seems like such a great idea. But after installing it and having someone try to open the door from outside, we quickly discovered that it takes very little force to bend the metal piece and begin warping the area where the pin locks. I wouldn’t want anyone to put their faith in this as a security measure when it bends so easily. We spent time watching the manufacturer video to be certain we were installing it correctly. But it’s made of such bendable material that there is no way it would hold up under any real force. You can hold the metal in each hand and bend it with just a little pressure. Don’t be fooled by the videos showing people pulling on the door handle from inside. It seems very secure from the inside. But when any pressure is applied from the outside of the door, the metal piece bends dramatically.
