Not real bees wax, sadly
Unfortunately this seems like a synthetic wax. It has a petroleum like odor, and completely different color and texture compared to true beeswax. I attempted to get more info about whether it is safe to use with food products but to my dismay, the seller did not respond. This, I’ll need to return this.
