I bought this chipper in Jan 2020 from Amazon.com. I reviewed it at that time and I think I gave it a 3. Today when I was using it, the muffler housing broke at the base of the muffler, the exhaust port shot flames out, caught the unit on fire and destroyed the air filter housing, the carburetor, the fuel line and shut off switch, the gas cap, the starter cord, and the spark plug wire, not to mention, the muffler, which caused the whole problem. I have pictures. Fortunately, I had the water hose nearby so I could extinguish the fire, else it would have exploded and caught the woods on fire. The metal where it goes into the base of the muffler just cracked. It has been stored inside and has never been wet until today, when I had to get the hose to put the fire out, so it is not rusted. If you have one of these, HINT...have a turned on hose nearby. Its dangerous and defective. Amazon rating of 1, the muffler housing is defective and the device creates a severe fire hazard. Please contact me with a proposed resolution. This is just the 3rd season for this unit, its only been operated for <15 CUMULATIVE hrs and it should not be falling apart and catching on fire like this. My new recommendation, don't buy this Chinese "Super Dangerous" equipment, it will only wind up in the landfill if it doesn't burn your house down before. And, their customer service denies any responsibility for the safety of the design...they are just distributors. I will file a complaint with the consumer product division to stop this device from being sold in the US.
